B-1-8- The documents necessary for import or export transactions

All transactions and goods transfers generate documents. We provide an exhaustive inventory of all issued documents within the scope of international transactions. Each document is subject to fees.

You can first consult our page devoted to the expenses that result from document provisions. You will be able to find them in the chapter dedicated to the Incoterms. (documents and fees linked to documents).

1-8-1- Documents for exportation and transport

First, you will find the documents related to the transport of goods, like, for example, the "charter party" bill of lading, or the ocean bill of lading (see the table of all shipping documents). These documents are accompanied by others, like the "combined bill of lading," or the CMR consignment note.

1-8-2- Documents for exportation and payment

We then have the documents related to payment, like the proforma invoice, the consular invoice and/or the draft.

1-8-3- Export documents and Customs

We include all documents related to customs clearance of goods, and there are quite a few, like, for example, the certificate of inspection, the certificate of origin, and customs documents like the EUR1 or the SAD.

1-8-4- Export documents and insurance

As is the case with all transport, goods need to be insured. This insurance is accompanied by an insurance contract. This contract produces insurance documents to be presented in case of damage. We also include transport-related insurance documents.

1-8-5- Control documents

Finally, we include various certificates related to the goods, like the inspection, quality, weight and conformity certificates.

1-8-6- Documents related to the quantity of transported goods

Without overlooking the packing list, which aims to provide a list of the transported goods.
